National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall 國立中正紀念堂

Trips after trips some times i really got tired over flying. For my last annual trip, i decided to join a tour and fly over to Taiwan. The package includes traveling around in Taipei, Tai Chung and Kao Xiong.

After an agony of 3 hours and 20 minutes from Kota Kinabalu Terminal 2 via Air Asia we finally landed at Taiwan Tao Yuan International Airport .It is located about 40 minutes away from Taipei City and i strongly suggest you to get the earliest flight if you want to fly from KK to Taipei.

I'm host by Air World Tour company and they provided a splendid tour around Taiwan, the Taiwanese tour guide is really friendly and mother-like caring too to us. She give us good tips and advise to spend and shop around in Taiwan.

The bus where i spend most of my time through out the traveling around Taiwan.

At first glance on the Freeway Road, i am able to see how well development and still continuing to grow and building roads and building. First thing that came into my mind is. If only Malaysia was this well development. I understand everyday people over at KL got into congestion all the time because of the weak and lousy traffic network links around the city. The road over in Taiwan is spectacular and it look like roller coaster flying up and down.

Our first destination is National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall  國立中正紀念堂. In memorial of President Chiang Kai-shek died on 5 April 1975, the Executive branch of the government established a Funeral Committee.

Going for a tour guide is also similar to having history class except this history class take place in real place and real time. It is vital to understand a country history background and culture before exploring other places.

His statue was build facing China because he wasn't able to get back home to China after he left it.

One of the thing that you should pay attention to is the two guard solider that they place at the main building. Similar to British Royal Guard, they would not move a single hair and they won't even blink their eye! I was there staying for 10 minutes and they really serious about standing still over there. :S
I wonder how they do it without blinking the eye.

This is the first post of my adventure in Taiwan and i had over 800 pictures to process and about 200 of it is street photography and scenery photography. Do expect over 10 places reviews of night markets, theme parks, shopping mall and food reviews.

Spending 7 days over in Taiwan is really tough. I feasted like an animal during my tour and unsurprisingly i gained 5kg when i return home.

One of the most awesome experience i had was going around Taiwan in taufan. Unlike Malaysia, we do not have Earthquake and taufan but experiencing it at Taiwan made me realize how blessed and how lucky we are in Malaysia.

More on that on future post. Stay Tune!
