Xi Men Ding 西門町 | Taipei

Shortly after we landed, we get to tour around Taipei on the first day and we even kick start our shopping spree immediately. We were brought over to the famous Xi Men Ding and i was fascinated how huge and crowded the place is, even thought it was slightly hot and windy that day.

Xi Men Ding 西門町 also known as the Harajuku of Taipei where trendy fashion of Japanese are mostly to be found around here. Like a blind sheep, i was left there wonder around for few hours and boy i was excited to snap pictures around like nobody business and tried out all sort of foods here.

There are a varieties of shop for shopping and street foods available here. Xi Men Ding is rated one of the top must go places in Taipei for tourists. Here you can find the latest fashion clothing and local delicacy scattering around highly dense Xi Men Ding.

All the fruit juice are worth trying and my recommendation goes to the sweet bitter melon where you can't find it elsewhere in Malaysia. But! i didn't go for it but instead i go for my favourite mango juice. Cost me 25 Taiwan dollar which is RM2.5 Taste of the mango was really thick and pure. All the juices stores that i can find in Taiwan are generous with the ingredients.

Basically there are tones of bubble tea shops around and there are alot of varieties. What you can find in Chatime and Gongcha is very typical in Taiwan and i head on down for a cup of bubble pearl tea just to try out.

A tips for future Taiwan traveler or backpackers. How to spot a good food store? Follow the crowd. As easy as that. If you spot tones of people standing and trying out the particular food store then you might want to try their food.

"Taiwan mee soup" Introduce by my tour guide

Xi Men Ding 西門町 | Taipei

If you love sour stuff this will be the thing for you. You can always ask them to add on the level of sour because original drink wouldn't taste much sour. This is just the beginning of my tour and it was just the first day in Taiwan. If you think this is a heaven for shopping, wait until you read my future post about Taiwan night market.

Didn't really get anything over here but the drinks and food is really nice.
